Oslo, October 23, 2025. A group of students of Spanish language from Ulsrud Videregående High School, accompanied by their professor Lars Øvergaard, visited the Embassy of Cuba in Norway, where they were received by the Ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, and the Second Secretary, Daffne Ernesto Miraba García, as part of the activities in the framework of the Cuban Culture Days.
The diplomats gave a presentation on Cuba that covered diverse topics such as geography, climate, political and administrative divisions, national symbols and attributes, education, health, culture, and traditions, among others. The students listened with great interest and asked several questions.
The Ambassador took the opportunity to give an explanation on the Cuban Culture Day, celebrated on October 20th, and the historic event it honors: the singing by first time of the Cuban National Anthem. To highlight music as one of our country's most important artistic expressions, she invited the students to enjoy the video clip of the song "Me dicen Cuba" by Alexander Abreu and Havana D'Primera.
