Vientiane, October 6, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador participated in the 4th National Urban Forum, held in this capital under the auspices of UN Habitat and the Minister of Finance, the meeting was of great interest to the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and other national and international actors supporting the process of managing human settlements. The event focused on turning crises into opportunities for resilience.
Under the motto "Responding to the Urban Crisis," it proves useful and thought-provoking for addressing the recurring crises caused by climatic disasters, the very dynamics of building new cities, and meeting housing, infrastructure, and general basic service needs, as well as the pressing need for sustainable investments.
