Harare, November 29, 2025 - The Ambassador of Cuba, Her Excellency Susellys Pérez Mesa, bid farewell today to the new Head of the Zimbabwean Diplomatic Mission-designate to the Caribbean island, His Excellency Ronald Mutasa.
The meeting between the two provided an opportunity to review bilateral priorities for the coming year and acknowledge the progress made in 2025, with a high level of visits and exchanges, which strengthen the foundation for continued work on projects of common interest, as well as the legal basis for other initiatives.
Mutasa emphasized the shared commitment to strengthening economic and cooperative relations, while both sides recognized the excellent state of political and collaborative ties, particularly in the areas of health and education.
During the exchange, the contributions of the outgoing Ambassador, His Excellency Paul Chikawa, were acknowledged. He has been appointed to other important duties in Harare.
Also participating in the meeting were Minister Counselor Luis Enrique González Acosta and Second Secretary Zailin Gaulhiac Moráguez, while the Ambassador-designate was accompanied by his wife and an official from the Directorate for Europe and the Americas of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
