Vientiane, October 20, 2025. The headquarters of the National University of Laos, accompanied by the group of officials from the Embassy, was the center of the celebration of Cuba's National Culture Day, where the National Anthem was sung and Fidel's legacy was remembered in events also linked to the celebration of his centenary, while the 95th anniversary of Armando Hart, a distinguished intellectual of Culture, was also commemorated.
The Spanish professor, Ismet Borroto, delivered a memorable presentation on the significance of the date and, in particular, the motto, "The Homeland is my VOICE," appreciated by her enthusiastic students.
For her part, the Cuban ambassador highlighted Fidel's contribution to the application of José Martí's principle 'Be cultured to be free' and his vision of conceiving culture as part of national identity and a bridge between nations, as has been the case with cooperation with Laos, challenging distances and obstacles such as the economic blockade that has affected everyone all the Cuban society for more than 6 decades.
