New Ambassador of Cuba presents Letters of Credentials to Governor General of Jamaica

Kingston, 20 January 2026. In an official ceremony held at the King's House, the Governor General of Jamaica, His Excellency the Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, received the Letters of Credence appointing Tania López Larroque as Cuba's Ambassador to this Caribbean island.

During the cordial meeting, the parties discussed the deep historical and cultural ties that unite both nations, as well as the considerable value of Cuba's cooperation with Jamaica in the health and education sectors in favour of the brotherly Jamaican people.

The Cuban Ambassador reiterated the Cuban government's willingness to continue strengthening the ties that unite both nations and to diversify bilateral cooperation.
