The president of the Timor-Leste Parliamentary Friendship Association, Bendita Moniz Magno, met with the head of the diplomatic mission, Alina Aldama.

Dili, February 13, 2026. In the capital of Timor-Leste, the parliamentarian who heads the Timor-Leste Friendship Association, Bendita Moniz Magno, along with another member of the executive committee, exchanged information with Ambassador Alina Aldama.

At the headquarters of the National Parliament of Timor-Leste, the Cuban diplomat conveyed a call from the National Assembly of Cuba requesting the support of friendly parliaments. She also offered a detailed explanation regarding the impact of the Executive Order signed by President Donald Trump, and reiterated the disregard shown by successive US administrations for the unanimous call from the international community to end the blockade and the illegal and inhumane policy against the Cuban people.

Timorese parliamentarians and members of the Parliamentary Friendship Association between the two nations expressed their gratitude for the visit of the Cuban diplomat, pledging their support for Timorese's position as a friendly, brotherly, and supportive country towards Cuba.
