Former FRETILIN Party leader, Dr. Mari Alkatiri, during the opening of the Second Subnational Youth Conference of the Party in Leorema, Bazartete Post, Liquisa Municipality, explained the complex situation in Cuba and the need for solidarity, support, and accompaniment from friends.

In this context, he referred to the importance of the struggle for the sovereignty of peoples in a peaceful, friendly, and intelligent manner, calling for respect for International Law and urging the United Nations to play its role as a global organization.
