As a tribute to the 131st anniversary of the resumption of Cuba's War for Independence on February 24, 1895, a gathering was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, attended by Cuban residents and friends in solidarity with the Cuban people.
Ambassador Aramis Fuente Hernández spoke about the significance of this patriotic feat and addressed the current situation in Cuba, stemming from the criminal and genocidal strengthening of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade and the new measures dictated by the current US administration. These measures aim to strangle the country's economy and create a humanitarian crisis in their failed attempt, pursued for over 67 years, to overthrow the Revolution.
The people of Cuba resist and will prevail.
