The Granada-Cuba Friendship Association reaffirms its support for Cuba in the face of US aggression

Saint George, March 1, 2026 – The Granada-Cuba Friendship Association today expressed its deep concern over the growing hostility of the United States toward Cuba, denouncing what it considers a deliberate intensification of coercive measures against the Caribbean island.

One of the most alarming aspects highlighted by the organization is the obstruction of Cuba's access to fuel supplies, an action they describe as “an act of economic terrorism that puts millions of lives at risk.” According to the statement, this measure prolongs more than six decades of economic blockade that has affected all areas of life in Cuba.

The Association recalled that the people of Grenada have for years received Cuban solidarity in the form of doctors, teachers, and educational opportunities for Grenadian youth. “Because Cuba has been with us, we must now demonstrate that solidarity is a reciprocal commitment,” they stressed.
