The Communist Party of Luxembourg expresses solidarity with Cuba and calls for an end to the oil embargo against the island.

The Hague, February 6, 2026. On April 3, the Communist Party of Luxembourg organized a protest in the name of peace. Under the slogan “Hands off Cuba,” they called for an end to the blockade against Cuba, particularly the energy blockade, which amounts to collective punishment against the Cuban people.

As they stated in a press release issued in January: “Cuba has become a beacon of hope for a better life for billions of people around the world. For more than 65 years, the United States has attempted to stifle that hope through the blockade, sabotage, propaganda, military invasion, and more than 600 assassination attempts against Fidel Castro.”

In addition to the Communists of Luxembourg, the demonstration was attended by schoolchildren, students, workers, creators in all fields, retirees, housewives, and numerous friends and supporters of Cuba, who reaffirm their solidarity with the steadfast Cuban people and the Revolutionary Government.

Cuba is not alone. We appreciate the solidarity shown with the Cuban people from Luxembourg.
