Cairo, 20 April 2026. The Egyptian websites of the newspapers Al Safir, the Hispano-Arab League, Arab Telegraph, Al Tagrer News, Akhbar El Nas Alioum, Africa Face and Khalf El-Hadath published the Revolutionary Government’s Declaration, “Girón is today and always”, in full.
The statement once again rejects the Trump administration’s aggressive policy and the real possibility of military intervention in Cuba, which is living under the permanent siege of the US government, whose escalating threats have intensified in recent months. Added to the brutal energy blockade, which exacerbates the genocidal policy of the blockade of the last six decades, are the statements by representatives of the US government elite regarding intentions of military aggression.
The statement denounces the material and human cost of the blockade, which is an illegal and inhumane act, in violation of international law, condemned each year by almost all member states of the United Nations and, as recent polls have confirmed, rejected by the majority of the people of Lincoln’s homeland.
The media smear campaign aimed at discrediting Cuba and its government is also exposed. The dominant media machine is waging an underhand war, rife with exaggerations, lies and disparagement, which never identifies the true cause of the situation that has been created and instead blames the Revolutionary Government for the crisis that is being deliberately and cold-bloodedly provoked by those who attack it. They resort to such mendacious pretexts as claiming that Cuba constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to US national security or designating it as a state that allegedly sponsors terrorism.
The document reaffirms that Cubans today are heirs to a historic legacy, with the blood of the mambises and rebels running through their veins, honouring the example and courage of the heroes and martyrs of the Fatherland; such as the 32 brave Cuban fighters who fell in Venezuela and the young people who thwarted the terrorist infiltration via Villa Clara, and that Cuba will never be a trophy, nor just another star in the US constellation.
The declaration concludes by stating that ‘As long as there is a woman or a man willing to give their life for the Revolution, we will be victorious!
