Kingston, April 29, 2026. The Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, Anabel Landrón Ochoa, and the Coordinator of the Educational Brigade in Jamaica, Yoendris Ramírez Figueroa, participated this morning in the Spanish Language Day at Kingston Technical High School. The initiative, promoted by Cuban resident Dayana Webb Wright, had as its central theme “A Journey through the Spanish-Speaking World: Culture, Language, and Tradition.”
During the exchange with the students, the Cuban diplomat shared facts about Cuban history and culture that unite both peoples. Through various artistic expressions, she highlighted identity elements of the architecture, nature, and music of our country.
As part of the event, students from the school recited a selection of José Martí’s Versos Sencillos, demonstrating the skills acquired in the Spanish language.
