Cuban Ambassador to Egypt Holds Meeting with Representative of Palestine’s Fatah Movement

Cairo, April 30, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Alexander Pellicer Moraga held a cordial meeting with the representative of the Fatah Movement in Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Ghareeb.

During the meeting, they discussed the historic brotherly relations between Cuba and Palestine and the genocidal policies being imposed against our countries. They also agreed that resistance is the only path forward for our peoples.

The Palestinian representative expressed gratitude for Cuba’s unconditional support for the noble cause of the Palestinian people and its condemnation of Israel’s genocidal and expansionist policies, as well as for the offer of scholarships to young Palestinians to study medicine in Cuba.

For his part, the Cuban diplomat reaffirmed Cuba’s principled position in favor of the creation of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He also acknowledged the resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the genocide carried out by the State of Israel in Gaza and the West Bank, in clear violation of international law. (EmbaCuba Egipto)
