Kuala Lumpur, May 5, 2026. The Socialist Party of Malaysia (SPM) issued a statement strongly condemning the latest coercive measures and military threats against the Cuban people imposed by the U.S. government.
The statement also reads:
"The United States, with its imperialist ideology, has repeatedly proven to be the greatest threat to world peace and justice…
We call on the international community, including the Malaysian government, to support Cuba in the face of US imperialist aggression. We call on governments worldwide to isolate the United States and thus reduce its capacity to intimidate and threaten the world with even more disastrous interventions. End the blockade of Cuba now!
We reaffirm our solidarity with Cuba and the Cuban people at this critical juncture. Since the 1959 Revolution, Cuba has been a bastion of international solidarity and humanity. We must not allow imperialist forces to destroy the social achievements of the Revolution.
Solidarity with Cuba is defending peace and justice."
