THE BAHAMAS, 11 October 2017.-The Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, Sharon Brennen-Haylock, received the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The Cuban representative expressed her gratitude for the call by the Bahamian Foreign Minister during the general debate at the UN General Assembly to lifting the blockade.
The senior Bahamian official, who was accompanied by the Director for the Americas, Freddie Tucker, referred to the Bahamas' longstanding support for the Cuban resolution against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
During the exchange, both sides addressed issues of interest, including bilateral and regional cooperation.
