The solidarity art exhibition “Collecting Sunshine for Cuba” was inaugurated in the city of Çanakkale as part of ongoing efforts to support the Cuban people through the acquisition of solar panels, inverters, and other energy equipment for healthcare institutions on the island.
The exhibition brings together the works of nearly fifty Turkish artists and stands as a powerful expression of the friendship and solidarity that unite the peoples of Cuba and Türkiye. All proceeds from the sale of the artworks will be donated to the solidarity campaign.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of friendship organizations, artists, intellectuals, and members of the local community, as well as the Ambassador of Cuba to Türkiye, who expressed gratitude for the continued support and highlighted the importance of international solidarity in addressing the challenges faced by the Cuban people.
The exhibition demonstrates how art can serve as a bridge between peoples and as a vehicle for promoting friendship, cooperation, and mutual support.
