Cuban engineers are taking part in the construction of the new bridge in Balthazar, Saint Andrew, a project with significant political and social relevance, as it has been recently highlighted by Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, in the media.
The works include the demolition of an existing bridge and the installation of a new temporary structure to ensure access for the population during the construction process.
In this context, professionals from Cuba are contributing not only technical assistance but also support with translation, within a team composed of both English‑ and Spanish‑speaking workers.
The temporary bridge in Balthazar will maintain connectivity for surrounding communities while the permanent structure is being built, representing an immediate benefit for the population. The participation of Cuban engineers in this process reaffirms the Island’s commitment to regional cooperation and to supporting projects that have a direct impact on the daily lives of Grenadians.
