Cuban delegation attends tribute ceremony for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran

Tehran, July 3, 2026. The official delegation of the Republic of Cuba, led by Dr. Walter Baluja García, Minister of Higher Education, attended the tribute ceremony for the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. The event took place at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque, a vast religious complex in Tehran.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several members of his family died in the airstrike on February 28, at the onset of the attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.
