The Embassy of Cuba in Kenya participated in the celebrations of the Spanish Language Day 2026, hosted at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON).
The celebration, held in an atmosphere of warmth and goodwill, brought together diplomats, UN colleagues, and guests to recognize the importance of multilingualism, cultural exchange, and inclusive multilateralism.
Spanish is among the four topmost widely spoken languages globally, with more than 470 million speakers representing approximately 8% of the world’s population, according to Spain’s Cervantes Institute.
