Ambassador of Cuba exchanges with the Minister of State for Grand Bahama during her visit to the territory

Nassau, November 20th, 2017.-The Ambassador of Cuba to the Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, recently made a working visit to the island of Grand Bahama, ranked second in the Bahamian territory, where she exchanged with local authorities.

During her visit, the diplomat made a courtesy call to the Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister for Grand Bahama, Hon. Kwasi Thompson. They exchanged on various topics of interest, in particular on the existing cooperation between both countries.

At the meeting were also present Yvonne Ward, District Education Officer, Ministry of Education; Harcourt Brown,Acting Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister; and Marvin Rolle, Ministry of Education. José Reinel García Sánchez, representative of the Ministry of Education of Cuba in the Bahamas, accompanied the Ambassador.

The Cuban diplomat visited different educational centers in which there are currently Cuban collaborators teaching. She spoke with the principals of each of the schools. There is a very positive opinion about the work carried out by Cuban educators and the results they have achieved.
