The Caribbean Wax Museum reopens with sculptures devoted to Fidel Castro and Ché Guevara

Chaired by the Minister of Tourism of Barbados, Richard Sealy, the Caribbean Wax Museum was reopened in Bridgetown by its directors Frances Ross and Art Edwards, who are also the artists of this emblematic place, including new works that represent various heroes of the Caribbean and Latin America. The Ambassador of Cuba, Francisco Fernández, was invited to the ceremony in which he highlighted the sculptures of Commanders Fidel Castro and Ernesto "Ché" Guevara, who were recognized by the distinct audience as visionary leaders of our independence. Similarly, the Venezuelan Ambassador expressed his pleasure for the inclusion of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, who shares space with the leader of the victorious Haitian revolution Toussaint Louverture, among other relevant personalities of Caribbean culture such as Bob Marley, Clement Payne and Mighty Gabby. Both directors were invited to strengthen working links with the staff of the Wax Museum of Bayamo, the only one of its kind in Cuba and the first in the Caribbean region, created in 2007.
