The 27th edition of the International Book Fair of Havana , Cuba, will take place from February 1 to 11, under the motto Leer es crecer (Reading is growing). The People's Republic of China will be the Guest of Honor Country. It will be dedicated to Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler, Historian of the city of Havana. This event is the most important in the Cuban publishing sector and the most agglutinating cultural space in the country. Beyond being a place to buy books and exchange with authors, the Fair has become a stage to show, in its various facets, the dynamism of our cultural life. It is recognized internationally as a reference for the exhibition, commercialization and promotion of the best Cuban, Latin American and universal literature. The professional, academic and literary programs include symposia, tributes, round tables, lectures, prizes and book presentations, spaces for exchange and dialogue with the different audiences that will come to the fairgrounds. The artistic program of the event offers exhibitions of cinema, performing arts and concerts.
