The chief curator of The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is visiting Cuba

THE BAHAMAS, 27 March 2016. - The chief curator of The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, Ms. Amanda Holly Bynoe, is visiting Cuba as part of cultural exchange between the two countries.

Since her arrival to Havana last 23 March, the curator has developed an intensive program organized by the Ministry of Culture of Cuba. Among the activities carried out, she visited the Communitarian Project of the plastic artist José Fuster, the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Wilfredo Lam Center, headquarters of the Havana Biennale, among others.

Before her trip to Cuba, the curator held exchanges with the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, to whom she expressed admiration for Cuban culture and the development of the arts in our country.

Holly Amanda Bynoe has devoted her career to promoting cultural relations among the different islands of the Caribbean.
