Cuba and The Bahamas consolidate links on immigration

THE BAHAMAS, 16 May 2016.- The Director of the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, William Pratt, received the Ambassador of Cuba in the Caribbean country, Ismara Walter Vargas.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to ensure proper implementation of the existing Memorandum of Understanding on migration issues between the two countries.

The Cuban Ambassador stressed the importance of the Rounds of Technical Talks on Migration held every year, and issues of common interest are discussed in these, as part of the climate of cooperation and understanding that exists within the framework of the good bilateral relations between the two countries.
