The Hague, 6 May 2018. Two Cuban pianist resident in The Netehrlands, Ramón Valle and Gustavo Corrales, offered a concert in Lutherse Kerk, The Hague, attended by a numerous group of Dutchs, Cubans and member of the Latin American diplomatic corps accredited in the city, who were invited by the Cuban Embassy.
The Program of the concert included the premieres of the artists own pieces such as Valle's Johanna, played at two pianos and Corrales's Guantanamo. Other Cuban authors played at the concert included pieces by Ernesto Lecuona, such as Comparsa and Danza Negra, which shocased the creative versatility of both musicians.
Cuban music, played at four hands, was the star of the show in which attendees also enjoyed the explanations of each piece and of the characteristics of Cuba's traditional rhythms.
An alum from the National School of Art, Valle has taken part in numerous jazz festivals both in Cuba and abroad. He has also written several musical pieces and he has been called by Maestro Chucho Valdés as "the greatest talent among Cuba's young pianists."
Corrales graduated from the Higher Institute for the Arts and studied piano in the Conservatorium in Moscow. He has gained experience on the stage by taking part in many national and international festivals and by playing concerts in South America, the Caribbean amd several countries in Europe, especially The Netherlands.
Among the audience, there were also some representatives from the community residing in Aruba, Curaçao and other Dutch Antilles and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
