Within the framework of a joint visit to the city of Cork, on the occasion of the annual National Famine Commemoration, which was hosted by the University of Cork, a representation of the Ambassadors of GRULAC residing in Ireland, composed of the Chiefs mission of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Mexico, held a courtesy meeting with the Lord Major of Cork, Tony Fitzgerald, who outlined the county's growth projects in territory and population, as well as the perspectives that are opening for a more extensive collaboration with other cities. The Latin American diplomats also expressed the desire to see the links of their respective countries grow with institutions and companies like those in Cork and enjoy a more dynamic relationship in the cultural field.
An invitation was open to the Cork authorities so that, in the context of the official visits they make abroad during the celebration of Saint Patrick's Day, they can also be present in any of our cities that celebrate the Irish national holiday as a great cultural event and of brotherhood.
