Jamaica welcomes new Cuban collaborators in Education

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, August 29th, 2016.- During this Monday afternoon, August 29th,  a new group of 21 Cuban teachers arrived in this capital to be part of the Educational Brigade in this sister nation.

Rafael Muñiz Guillén, Coordinator of the Educational Brigade in Jamaica, and Mabel Rodriguez Morera, in charge of Collaboration Office at the Embassy of Cuba, were present during the warm welcoming, as well as officials from the Ministry of Education of Jamaica.

This new group of professors, who will teach Spanish, will be distributed along all the regions of this Caribbean nation and will continue with the important work carried out by other Cuban collaborators during all these years, and which has been widely acknowledged and appreciated by the Government and people of Jamaica.

The cooperation between Cuba and Jamaica, started since the very beginning of the diplomatic relations in 1972 and enhanced by the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, is strengthened by the willingness and efforts of both governments to maintain the exchanges and to identify new areas of interest to the benefit of both peoples.
