The staff of the Embassy of Cuba, together with several members of the Cuban Medical Brigade (BMC) that works in the country, analyzed the Draft Constitution of the Republic of Cuba in an instructive meeting.
The activity, chaired by Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González, took place in the premises of the Embassy. After singing the National Anthem the discussion on the normative document began.
The participants exchanged about a group of topics, including the family concept, according to the Draft Constitution; social security; the citizenship; the scope of Health and Free Education.
As part of the preparation for the discussion of the document, the assistants had consulted the text of the document, as well as other complementary materials, and in the case of the members of the Cuban Medical Brigade, they were on vacation in Cuba, during the discussion and approval of the Draft Constitution in the National Assembly, fact that allowed him to be direct witnesses of the debates in the Cuban legislative body.
The discussion of the Draft Constitution was a democratic exercise and also of support to the Cuban Revolution.
