On October 10, 1868, the patriot lawyer Carlos Manuel de Céspedes (1819-1874) freed his slaves and took the Cubans into arms, the first founding event of the #Cuba National Liberation Revolution.
The ringing of the bell of his sugar-cane factory "La Demajagua", Manzanillo, in the east of the country, meant 150 years ago a triumph of the independence ideas, against the Hispanic fundamentalism and the reformist and annexation movements.
In the words of Céspedes that day: "The soldier of duty must not allow the aurora to surprise him in his bed."
Dawn appeared on October 10, 1868! #10deOctubre
Today we see with pride the commitment of the new generations with the continuity of the Revolution, fertilizing the vision of the independent, sovereign, socialist, democratic, prosperous and sustainable nation from the basis of the historical memory. #HacemosCuba
