The Cuban Ambassador in Baku, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, was present at the second international conference on "Digital Trade Center of Azerbaijan", organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications (CAERC) under the presidency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Executive Committee of the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO).
In the event, the Executive Director of CAERC, Vusal Gasimli, emphasized that the future of the world economy is determined by the following factors: the impact of technology on human life; evolution of money; share the wealth; launch of new economic engines; the green economy, the geographical distribution of people and the paradox of trade.
For his part, the Director General of ISESCO, Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, gave a congratulatory speech and declared that the creation of the Digital Trade Center became a great achievement for Azerbaijan.
Altwaijri greatly appreciated the contribution and state activities aimed at developing the digital field and innovative technologies in the country, highlighting that Azerbaijan is a center that unites cultures, countries and innovations.
The conference was attended by representatives of the European Union and the World Bank, UNDP, Russia, Estonia, the Netherlands, England, Poland, Switzerland, China, the United States, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Cuba and Morocco.
Also representatives of global trading platforms such as Alibaba.com, Amazon, eBay.com and others, with which the portal Azexport.az has a close collaboration.
