The diplomat addressed various aspects of Cuban-Indonesian relations, which arrived at its 59th Anniversary on January 22. She emphasized the need to develop more trade links between both countries and highlighted the opportunities that Cuba offers to attract foreign capital from the current Law on Foreign Investment and the establishment of the Mariel Special Development Zone.
The occasion was also propitious to highlight the achievements of Cuba despite the policy of commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States, that now threatens to strengthen it with the activation of Title III of the Helms Burton Act. .
