ASEAN officially welcomes the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste in Jakarta.

Jakarta, December 11, 2025. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) today celebrated a historic event by welcoming the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, at the headquarters of the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. With this event, Timor-Leste’s accession as the eleventh member of the regional bloc is consolidated.

During the ceremony, ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn welcomed Prime Minister Gusmão, who reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the principles of cooperation, unity, and sustainable development that guide the regional community.

JAKARTA, October 15, 2025. Dr. C. Diadelis Remirez of the Cuban Regulatory Agency (CECMED) participates as Cuba's Focal Point in the WHO Herbal Medicines Regulatory Cooperation Network. This annual meeting will be held in Jakarta from October 13 to 16, with the participation of more than 25 countries.

Dr. C. Diadelis Remirez presented an overview of the regulatory context of traditional and complementary medicine in Cuba, as well as the regulatory challenges facing this important discipline, with satisfactory results.
