The Cuban Ambassador in Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas Marin was received this morning by Paula James, Executive Director of this country’s Manufacturers’ Association. At the meeting, held at the Organization’s office in the city of Castries, the Ambassador was able to get to know first-hand the existing manufacturing and production profile in this country extending over different products in the food industry, construction, among others. They also discussed existing opportunities in the two countries for the development of trade and business relations and willingness was emphasized from both sides to promote and stimulate the development of those ties and to strengthen bilateral relations in this manner. The Ambassador extended an invitation from the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba to the Saint Lucia Manufacturers’ Association, to participate in the next edition of the EXPOCARIBE Trade Fair and in the business forum of the Association of Caribbean States which will be made in this framework; both events will take place in the city of Santiago de Cuba during the month of June.
