Kingston, Jamaica, 6 February 2019. Cuban Ambassador in Jamaica, H.E. Mrs. Ines Fors Fernandez, paid a call of courtesy on Attorney General of Jamaica, Mrs. Marlene Malahoo Forte this afternoon.
During the exchange, the Cuban Ambassador thanked the Attorney General for the presentation to the Jamaican Parliament, last October, of a motion condemning the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, an initiative that the Jamaican Parliament has signed for ten consecutive years.
Other issues on the bilateral agenda were addressed during the meeting, including the cooperation agreement on education between the Ministries of Education of Cuba and Jamaica and the draft memorandum of understanding between the Attorney General's Offices of both countries.
The meeting, which took place at the Attorney General’s Office of Jamaica, was held in an atmosphere of friendship and cordiality.
