Geneva, February 27- The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Marcelino Medina, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Retno LP Marsudi, within the framework of the high-level segment of the 40th session of the Human Rights Council.
In his account of the social network Twitter @MMedina_Glez the Cuban vice chancellor said: "I had a cordial meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of #Indonesia, Hon. Ms. Retno L. P. Marsudi @Menlu_RI. We agree on the existing potentials to develop bilateral cooperation. "
For his part, on the same social network , Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister declared: "Meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba Marcelino Medina González and we discussed the strengthening of economic cooperation, including the field of health and pharmaceutical."
Indonesia aims to join the UN Human Rights Council in 2019, while Cuba concludes its third term as a member of this body this year.
