Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi and Mr. Maqsoud Kruse, President and Executive Director of HEDAYAH, respectively, received at the headquarters of that institution the GRULAC Ambassadors to whom they offered an explanation of the creation of that entity in Abu Dhabi , in December 2012, in response to the growing desire of the members of the Global Forum against terrorism and the international community for the establishment of an independent multilateral center.
The Cuban diplomat Jorge León Cruz, along with the heads of mission of Panama, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil and Costa Rica thanked the explanations and the digital presentation that they offered about the objectives of HEDAYAH aimed at promoting the dialogue, communications, capacity building programs, research and analysis to counter violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations.
HEDAYAH executives welcomed the presence of accredited Latin American and Caribbean ambassadors in the United Arab Emirates and advocated the development and collaboration of new programs with the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region.
