SRI LANKA, October 1, 2019. - The Honorable Tilak Marapana, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, received at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez.
During the friendly meeting, both parties exchanged on issues of bilateral and multilateral interest. Minister Marapana reiterated Sri Lanka's support for the Cuban resolution against the blockade imposed by the US Government against our country.
On November 6 and 7, the United Nations General Assembly will be examining for the twenty-eighth time in a row the draft resolution entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, financial and commercial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”
