Chairman of the main opposition party in The Bahamas receives the Cuban Ambassador.

The Bahamas, October 16, 2019. The Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, was received by the Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party, Senator Fred Mitchell, at the Opposition Leader's office. During the fraternal meeting, as part of the official farewell of the ambassador, both of them discussed about the areas of cooperation that have been developed for years, as well as the historical relations between people of Cuba and The Bahamas.

The meeting was also attended by PLP Senator Michael Darville and, on the Cuban side, the First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy, Yusimi Pompa Santos.
