A group of Cuban health specialists working at the Victoria Hospital in Saint Lucia who will conclude their mission in the next few days were honored and bid farewell by the management of the Health Centre. The meeting was attended by Doctor Alisha Eugene, Medical Director of the Center and Nancy Charles, Executive Director, who had words of praise for the dedicated work and commitment shown. They highlighted the close working relationship and cooperation created between the Cuban and Saint Lucian specialists, which made possible the successful accomplishment of their mission. Also in attendance were the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas, and the coordinator of the Medical Brigade, Jose Luis Lopez. The head of the diplomatic mission pointed out that the ties of friendship and collaboration created between the doctors and specialists of both countries reflect the same sentiments existing between the two peoples and stressed the Cuba’s willingness to continue contributing to the health care system of Saint Lucia. The meeting highlighted the shared anecdotes and stories and above all the value of health and life that for several years the specialists of both countries gave together to the people of Saint Lucia. Victoria Hospital is the main health center on the island and where the main bilateral medical cooperation is located.
