Limerick, Ireland, January 21, 2020. In solemn ceremony received his Master's certificate in International Tourism from the University of Limerick the young Cuban Antonio Rivero González, official of the Ministry of Tourism in the municipality of Varadero, province of Matanzas.
The University of Limerick, whose enrollment amounts to 15 thousand students, has been developing cooperative relations with Cuba for several years, especially in the area of studies on International Tourism, through which various young Cubans have been able to graduate as Masters.
Precisely this week, young people of various nationalities participating in this Master's degree, began a study trip to Cuba, led by Professor Jim Deegan.
The Ambassador of Cuba in Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés, and Consul Soraya Torres Jaime, who were invited to the graduation ceremony, also held a meeting with Dr. Des Fitzgerald, President of the University of Limerick and Dr. Christine Cross, Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences, among other professors of this prestigious University, to whom the Cuban diplomats expressed their gratitude for the contribution to the academic improvement of our professionals.
Mr. Ernesto Batista Sánchez, a professor at the University of Holguin, who is currently studying for his Master's degree at Limerick, also participated in the ceremony.
