Cuban Ambassador pays courtesy call to ASEAN Director General of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry

Kuala Lumpur, January 24 - The ASEAN general director of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, Dato Ahmad Rozian received a courtesy visit from the Cuban ambassador to that country, Ibete Fernandez Hernández.

During the cordial meeting, Dato Rozian commented on ASEAN's work for the coming period under the presidency of Viet Nam and the organization's intentions to strengthen the work with other regional organizations.

For her part, the Cuban ambassador thanked ASEAN for its support against the blockade every year at the United Nations and reiterated Cuba's willingness to strengthen ties with the organization.
