Kuala Lumpur, February 6 - Invited by the Malaysian Association of Tourism Agencies (MATA), the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández, presented to an important group of tourist agencies in the country, the Cuban tourism product and its potential.
This action was the result of a meeting last November with the board of directors of MATA who were interested in Cuba as a destination for tourists in the country.
Although Malaysia occupies the 80th place in the issuance of tourists to Cuba, the number of these has tripled in the last 4 years and there are possibilities of it increasing in the future.
