Pakistan-Cuba Social Forum called for the immediate lifting of the United States' blockade against Cuba, in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic. The appeal as follows:
In the context of novel COVID-19 pandemic Pakistan-Cuba Social forum appeals to the United Nations, and the US President Donald Trump to immediately lift decades-long economic, financial and commercial blockade against Cuba in the face of the crisis caused by the global pandemic of the coronavirus causing the COVID-19 disease.
As Cuba, due to weak economic condition could not able to fight and overcome consequences of Corona virus spread. At the moment, the entire world is spending huge money along with full attention to defeat this deadly disease, people of Cuba are facing acute shortage of funds in order to control COVID-19. In present situation, policy of imposing sanctions is entirely against international law and humanity. We urge the US to lift these immoral and illegal sanctions to enable Cuba to confront the epidemic as effectively and rapidly as possible.
Pakistan-Cuba Social forum also urges the Trump administration to repeal sanctions against Iran, Venezuela, and other countries.
