Kuala Lumpur, May 18- The Bernama news agency published an article today on the success of Cuba in the fight against covid 19, the role of biotechnology and the help that our country has given the world to face the pandemic, to from an interview with the Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Ibete Fernández Hernández.
The article explains about the prevention strategy adopted by the Cuban government to control the contagion by the virus from the primary care system and active investigations. He also comments on the work of the Cuban scientific community in the investigation of protocols and treatments against the pandemic.
The journalist highlights that despite the effects of the blockade, Cuba has not stopped cooperating with the affected countries that have requested it and cites the aggressiveness of the measures taken by the Trump government to toughen this unjust policy.
Regarding the collaboration between Cuba and Malaysia, the diplomat said that with Cuba's accumulated experience of almost 40 years of biotechnology development and with Malaysia's technical infrastructure, both countries are ready to collaborate. He asserted that "the epidemic of COVID-19 is far from over and we must be prepared for new outbreaks, in the new stage, it will be more necessary to share experiences."
