Cuban Ambassador, Roger López García, participates in an online discussion with members of the Friendship Association in tribute to the Heroic fighter, Commander Ernesto Ché Guevara. Referring to the importance of the event, he explained the historical coincidence with the birth of the Bronze Titan Antonio Maceo 83 years earlier.
The occasion permits to offer followers updated information on the latest events in Cuba related to the challenges of the Antillean nation in the midst of the confrontation with Covid-19, and the intensification of the cruel economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the US to Cuba clinging to different actions to end the Cuban Revolution.
For the interest of the participants, the Ambassador offered information on the behavior of the disease, the progress made, the operation of the health system in Cuba, the guarantees of the development of science, the pharmaceutical industry, the economic situation, and the preparation of the country for the restoration of the nation's activity.
He highlighted our modest cooperation to those who have requested it when, in recent months, Cuba has sent 28 brigades or medical groups, specialized in situations of disasters and serious epidemics, to 24 countries, a solidarity effort in which more than 2,500 professionals have participated. He point out that before the outbreak of the epidemic, the Caribbean nation already had 28 000 health workers in 59 countries.
