Havana, Jul 14, 2020.- President Miguel Diaz-Canel reaffirmed on Tuesday this nation's pride for Cuban health collaborators who fought the Covid-19 pandemic in other countries.
'Proud of our heroes in fighting Covid-19. Solidarity, commitment, love,' the president posted on his Twitter account.
On Monday, the head of State and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero welcomed the 52 members of the Henry Reeve contingent, who returned to the country after fighting the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Andorra, Nicaragua, and Antigua and Barbuda.
Diaz-Canel described the meeting as emotional, and the members of the medical brigades as 'worthy sons of the Homeland, who demonstrate the value of solidarity; denying and crushing the imperial intention to discredit' of the aid Cuba provides.
On behalf of the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raul Castro, the Government and the people, Diaz-Canel conveyed respect and affection for the work done by these men and women.
