In Lebanon, Aida Nasrallah, coordinator of the Arab Regional Center of the Women's International Democratic Federation (WFDY), Wafica Mehdi, president of the José Martí Arab-Latin American Solidarity Association, and Mayra Nieves Escobar, head of consular affairs at the Cuban Embassy in Beirut, participated in the International Forum convened by the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) “Women of the World in Solidarity with Cuba.”

Friends of Cuba in Lebanon demand an end to the blockade

At an event held at the Arab International Center for Communication and Solidarity in Beirut, Friends of Cuba in Lebanon demanded an end to the blockade imposed by the US against the Caribbean island for more than 60 years and expressed their support and fraternal solidarity with the Cuban people.

The event began with a video about the Caribbean island and how the Cuban people are facing the intensification of the blockade with creativity, unity, and support for the revolutionary government.

Cuba attends Mass for Saint Maron's Day in Lebanon

Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz accepted an invitation to participate, along with other accredited diplomats, in the Mass of Saint Maron, celebrated by Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai at Saint George's Cathedral in downtown Beirut, which was attended by President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and other dignitaries.
