Cambodian Ministers recognized the valuable support of Cuba

The Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, held two meetings with the Ministers of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, Vong Soth; and Telecommunications and Post Office, Chea Vandeth. Both leaders recognized the valuable help of the Caribbean Island in areas such as health, education, and training of human resources, among others.

During the meetings, the Caribbean diplomat said that, despite the challenges imposed by COVID-19, there have been no impediments for Cuba and Cambodia to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2020.

One year after her accreditation in Phnom Penh, Rodríguez assured that she confirmed the deep feelings of friendship that unite the two countries, despite the geographical distance. Cambodian ministers, for their part, ratified their willingness to continue strengthening ties and maintaining their support for the fair causes defended by the Cuban Revolution.
