Nigeria, December 2, 2020. The Nigerian Minister of the Interior, Oghbeni Rauff Aregbesola, received the Cuban ambassador to that country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, at the headquarters of that relevant Nigerian government institution.
During the meeting, the Nigerian Minister referred to the intense friendship and admiration he feels for Cuba and its people, of whom he highlighted the arduous role in the struggles for the liberation of the African peoples and currently the support in public health and the education.
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador thanked Cuba for the support, friendship and solidarity provided and highlighted the satisfaction of having a friend in Nigeria such as the Minister, who for his friendship towards the Cuban people was previously awarded the Medal of Friendship.
The Cuban diplomat also updated on the battle that the Cuban people are waging against the COVID19 pandemic and against the US blockade.
