Jakarta, January 19.- The Indonesian language daily, Republik Merdeka, published an article referring the P.R of China´s rejection for all the sanctions imposed by the United States on the Caribbean island, including the most recent one adopted by the Trump´s Administration to restore Cuba to a list of state sponsors of terrorism.
The text cites the Twitter account of the director general of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, in which regrets the adoption of the measure with unfounded accusations, as it has acted against Chinese companies, and considering that those actions have worsened their credibility to the world. It also highlights that the White House is manipulating the war against terrorism as an excuse to impose political pressure and economic sanctions on Cuba.
Likewise, the article establishes a call to the US government to normalize its relations with the Island, on the basis of mutual respect and equality, emphasizing that it would be positive for the basic rights of both nations and for the stability and peace in Latin America and the Caribbean region.
Citing China Daily, the article also highlights that the Asian giant has urged the international community to join in the fight against this scourge, while firmly opposing the United States using it as an excuse to impose political repressions and economic sanctions on Cuba and other countries in the world.
